The next best was getting GTA3 and simply driving and exploring what seemed a massive world, and trying to fly a dodo across the map!Īs good and realistic as games look now they just seem to lack that special magic, strange that Minecraft however, does seem too (also it has some of the scariest moments too, with mobs creeping up on you unawares!)Ĭatch up on every previous Games Inbox here It took everything that was good about SMB3 but made it so much better… Star Road, Ghost Houses, Flying capes and Yoshi. Showing my age but my best memories came from upgrading from NES/Gameboy games to getting the SNES and Super Mario World.

Side note: I would strongly recommend Dust: An Elysian Tale to anyone who has PS4 PS Plus and hasn’t downloaded it yet.

I even like the art style more.ĭanganronpa has easily been my game of 2014, and I am hoping to get my hands on the sequel as soon as I finish Persona 3 Portable (for the fourth time). It pretty much dominated Left Behind on every level known to man. It was tense, gripping, immersive and had a memorable bunch of characters and an intriguing story. If I were to choose the game with the best storytelling this year, it would be Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Even the gameplay wasn’t as tense as the main game. How did The Last of Us: Left Behind get the best storytelling award? The entire DLC was good, but not great. The Last of Us DLC should have finished last If I buy a digital copy then I could choose GTA V then a bit of Driveclub or whatever disc is in at the time. Today I had battlefield in as a disc and that played well but now what about GTA V. It has made me look at digital downloads in a different light, this gives me the chance to play many games via this way. Gameplay was again quick and responsive and it was great fun.

Seemed very strange looking at my PS4 home screen whilst sat miles away. This time though, I was at the parents in law’s house and the PS4 was 30 miles away. I have written in before to say how impressed I am with remote play and the quick response time to enable good game play. So on the horizon is the game I want but they need to be quick as GTA V is approaching and that may take me away from this and the frustration may keep me away.įinished a delicious Sunday lunch and then sat down for a few laps of Driveclub, played through the PS Vita via remote play. Minutes should be melting into hours but… that was a glimpse – I get no connection, drop outs, a cup of tea between races (includes kettle boiling from cold!) yes it can take ages to sync. PS Vita remote play so I can continue playing around the house and have a great racer on the Vita. Superb graphics, speed and my type of handling.

I have glimpsed what could be – tire smoke blocking my view as cars squeal around a sharp corner, the sun lowering over the course of the race and its rays then making spotting the corner more difficult.Ī time trial that updates with a competitors car that go just a bit faster than your last lap. I just want to race online and Driveclub should let me do that in style.
