At the time of his death, Herman Bryan, M.D. His brother, Buford Bryan, also served in the Navy in WWII and his brother Ramon served in the Army Air Corps and brother Euall Bryan served in the Army. He was awarded American Theater Ribbon, Victory and AP Ribbons with two battle stars. He served in the Caribbean area, Okinawa, East China Sea and Japan on a minesweeper. He was commissioned an officer during his service in WWII. at Treasure Island, San Francisco, California, prior to foreign service. Electrician's Mate 3rd Class Bryan received training at Farragut, Idaho, Ames, Iowa, Virginia and at the A.N.T.S. Before going into service he was employed by the Standard Steel & Fabricating Company in Seattle, Washington.
